Talmudical Seminary Oholei Torah will receive or has received a total of $269,075 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
Talmudical Seminary Oholei Torah has disbursed $212,800 to 266 students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of September 30,2020.
The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of September 30 is 266.
The method used by Talmudical Seminary Oholei Torah to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive is based on the expenses for food, course material, equipment needed to participate in the educational program due to the disruption of campus operations, travel home expenses and health care related expenses which has been calculated at $800 for a dependent student. All students enrolled are dependents.
Students received the following instructions with their grants: “As per the CARES Act, these grants are to be used for expenses that are related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19, including things like course materials and technology as well as food, housing, health care, and childcare.
